Florida Inter UWR emerged from South Florida's competitive aquatic
culture and quickly made a national mark. Based at the
Coral Springs Aquatic Complex — one of the premier
competitive swimming facilities in the Southeast — Inter brought
serious infrastructure to American underwater rugby.
In 2022 they organized the Florida Cup, an international
tournament run alongside the USA Finswimming World Cup, drawing eight
mixed teams and the USA National Team. Two years later they hosted the
entire 2024 USA Underwater Rugby National Championships
at the same venue, welcoming over 100 athletes from five men's teams
and three women's teams across the country.
At those Nationals, Inter finished 3rd overall —
defeating the Boston Narwhals for bronze on their home pool floor.
